Game of Thrones Season 8 has been filming for quite a while now, and as expected, the filming has now finished, right as July arrives. We had reported about an early wrap party a few days ago, but the one that took place now, was the actual final wrap party, spelling the end for filming on Game of Thrones, for good. Let’s dive in!

First off, we have pictures of the cast and crew members arriving at the venue in Belfast:

A Red Priestess also had one more picture, which is quite an odd one:

Look at the sigil carefully. It’s the Stark sigil embedded in the Targaryen one. Could this be how the show ends? With Jon Snow on the Throne, and the beginning of a new era marked by the fusion of the two houses he belongs to? We don’t see why else the two sigils could have been merged like this.

Moving on, we have some glimpses of the red carpet and the whole setup:

Northern Irish rock band Snow Patrol was the night’s entertainment. If you might remember, Snow Patrol member, Gary Lightbody had sung the “The Bear and the Maiden Fair” back in Season 3:

..and the DJ played the iconic Game of Thrones theme:

There was some really good decor, too:

Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss also spoke to the crowd, thanking them:

Dan Weiss bid farewell to the cast and crew, saying:

“We hope you loved making this show as much as we did, and we hope you loved making it with each other as much as we enjoyed making it with you.”

Well, the filming isn’t 100% over yet. We still have a few of the stars filming through this week, and we expect them to finish by the end of it. In the meantime, look out for drastic makeovers on Game of Thrones stars, because that will mean they’re done filming their part.

Here are more pictures from the party
