In The Dreadful, Turner plays Anne, a woman living on society’s fringes with her mother-in-law Morwen (Marcia Gay Harden). Their bleak existence is upended when Jago (Harington), a man from their past, returns—bringing secrets, tension, and a romance that’s raising eyebrows across Westeros fandom. Turner herself admitted the awkwardness in a recent interview with Vogue, saying,

“I did a movie last year which I’m really excited about with my old, but very good friend, Kit Harington, who played my brother on ‘Game of Thrones.’ We’re doing a gothic horror, but we play lovers. Sorry guys, it’s really weird for all of us.”

When and Where to Watch The Dreadful

Directed by Natasha Kermani, The Dreadful is slated for release in the United Kingdom by True Brit Entertainment. While the exact release date hasn’t been officially announced, the film is currently in post-production and expected to premiere later in 2025.
