A Twisted Tale of Wicker and Romance

Described as a “twisted, unconventional romance,” the story follows Colman as a perpetually ridiculed fisherwoman who takes an extraordinary step to escape her loneliness. Fed up with mockery from her small-minded seaside village neighbors, she commissions a local basketmaker to create a husband entirely from wicker.

Their bizarre relationship soon sparks outrage, jealousy, and chaos among the townspeople. The film was shot by Oscar-winning cinematographer Lol Crawley of ‘The Brutalist’ fame, ensuring stunning visuals match the story’s offbeat charm.
