Game of Thrones star Hafþór Julius Bjornsson has lost a whopping seven stone as he prepares for his boxing debut.
The 32-year-old is best known for playing Gregor ‘The Mountain’ Clegane in the hit HBO series, from season four until the finale.
Hafþór is a successful strong man competitor, but decided to retire last November after winning Iceland’s Strongest Man for the 10th consecutive year.
The Icelandic star also won World’s Strongest Man in 2018 thanks to his muscular physique.
But Hafþór is almost unrecognisable in his latest snaps, showing off his rippling muscles and streamlined physique.
He wowed his followers when he posted before and after pictures on Instagram this week, showing him weighing 205kg (32st 3lbs) and his current weight of 155kg (24st 4lbs).
Hafþór captioned the post: “From 205kg to 155kg. Swipe to see the difference. Filmed a whole day in my life the other day on my YouTube channel. Click the link my my bio to check it out and see my new daily diet!”
His 3.4 million followers were quick to like the post and took to the comments section to share their thoughts.
One person wrote: “This guys is a f***ing titan,” while another added: “It’s crazy. He had gnarly genetics but no doubt anabolics played a huge role too.”
A third person commented: “He was pretty lean even at 205kgs,” while others described him as “shredded” and “phenomenal”.
Announcing his retirement from strong man competitions last year, Hafþór said: “Great way to finish my strongman career. Now a different journey starts and I’m super excited.
“It’s been a great time in the sport of strongman but I’ve decided that I’m going to take a long break from the sport.
“Maybe I’ll never return but never say never right. I’m still only 31 years old and could come back in few years if my heart wants it!
“Right now my heart tells me that I need to be healthy for my family and do what’s best for them!” he added.
