  1. Winterfell's fall was a failure of preparation. Ned knew war and Caitlyn knew castle walls. She should have listened to Ned about war, did the 5 tasks, and returned to Winterfell's castle walls.

  2. Again, no, no, no!   No credit required.   Catelyn knew the assassin was coming, that's why she  did not leave the room, until after the assassin struck.     When she turned from the window, THE MAN was in the room with him.  Petyr had sent her the dagger, bag of silver and letter  in an ornate box.

  3. Remember she fell into a deep sleep after she saved bran. "Losing hours" is a common thing in this book series. It tend to shows there is something going on with dreams. Someone may have been influencing Cat through dreams the same way Theon may have been influenced when he lost Winterfell or even Bran… That being said, I think Catelyn is on par with some of the worst characters, but wouldn't say she is the worst. The criticism of her focusing her attention of a dying child is not valid. We are not like other lower mammals where we are ok with leaving our sickly children to die to focus our energy on the healthy ones. We build lasting connections with our kin. If the other kids are doing fine, why focus on them?

  4. CATELYN DOES SUCK. I'm talking the ROD, the blue-steel ROD. Dizzy Bitch. I loved the show where Tyrion asks her if she'd seen Lysa lately. …LLL It's been 5 yrs,  "Well; My, She's changed, She's always been a bit touched. but now you may as well kill me right here and now~n LOL I love Tyrions character in the HBO show~!

  5. She was an arrogant fool, brainless and vindictive. I always thought so, that´s why I wanted to hear what you guys have to say . But still, you didn´t say anything that would make me think she was the worst person out there. Are you kidding?

  6. Wow this is all immensely interesting, I always thought Catelyn was just a dull read and basically showing patriarchy's effect on a woman of noble birth (in other words someone with power but without the power to do anything without her lord husband) but damn if you guys aren't getting me to see her in a vindictive light.
Very conniving, the part about Ned giving her strict orders that would basically be life or death for their whole way of life and then she immediately starts thinking of visiting the Eryie or Riverrun instead blows my fucking mind, and I completely missed it on my read.

  7. "she wins, as always."  heh?  shes the lady of winterfell, when it comes to her or her child, yeah, id pretty much say the lady can pull rank, espcially considering the danger of what theyre debating.  you wouldnt make this remark if ned had been in her place, oh, ned, you know he always gets his way.  i hate catelyn too, but lets be honest when making these critiques.
