Game of Thrones might be coming to an end – but George R.R. Martin’s reign on telly isn’t going to be stopping anytime soon.

Fans of the writer have been able to finally catch a glimpse of his new series, Nightflyers, with a first full length trailer.

The Netflix show, which is based on the fantasy writer’s novella, follows the story of eight maverick scientists and a powerful telepath who embark on an expedition to the edge of our solar system aboard The Nightflyer.

Things soon turn for the worse when the ship malfunctions and they become trapped in Space – and are the Earth’s only hope for survival as the planet begins to due.

When terrifying and violent events begin to take place they start to question each other – and surviving the journey proves harder than anyone thought.

The mystical writer, who is as much of a mystery as his stories, had previously teased that the series would be ‘like Psycho but in space’ when asked about what to expect.

He also said that the new show would stay true to the ethnicity of the characters in the original book, and that the series would auto-correct a number of issues he has with the original 1987 art adaptation.

Boardwalk Empire’s Gretchen Mol will star as Dr. Agatha Matheson, and will be joined by former Eastenders star Sam Strike, Eoin Macken, David Ajala, Angus Sampson, Brían F. O’Byrne and Jodie Turner-Smith.

While the release date hasn’t been announced yet, we know the show will consist of ten episodes.
