HBO are said to be working on a fifth prequel to Game Of Thrones.

Riverdale is getting a Sabrina The Teenage Witch spin-off series

The fantasy drama, starring Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke, is smash hit, so it’s not surprising that they want to do as much as possible with it.

Variety say that writer Bryan Cogman is on board to write the project. Cogman has worked on Thrones since season one.

George RR Martin, the author of the books that GoT is based on, seems to be a fan of Cogman. When he spoke of landing a fifth prequel writer earlier this year, he said: ‘I don’t know anyone who knows and loves Westero as well as he does.’ Apart from Martin himself of course.

Cogman has written such episodes as The Broken Man and Stormborn.

He joins the other four writers: Max Borenstein, Jane Goldman, Brian Helgeland and Carly Wray.

Deadline revealed back in May that each of the prequels would ‘explore different time periods of George RR Martin’s vast and rich universe’.

Martin is said to be co-writing two of the projects, while Game Of Thrones showrunners Dan Weiss and Dan Benioff are on board as executive producers.
