HBO has shared a quick glimpse of the first official trailer for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, giving fans a sneak peek ahead of the full trailer’s release tomorrow. The brief look comes as New York Comic Con kicks off, following weeks of speculation online. In the lead-up, Game of Thrones social media pages had changed their tagline to “Spring is Coming,” signaling that the new series is finally on the horizon. George R.R. Martin had previously confirmed that the trailer would debut during the Comic-Con panel, and fans are now eagerly counting down to its full release.

HBO drops first glimpse of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms trailer
In an official update ahead of New York Comic Con, George R.R. Martin confirmed that the first full trailer for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will debut on Thursday, October 9, 2025, between 12 PM and 1 PM EST. The trailer will premiere during HBO’s panel at the convention and will be uploaded online shortly afterward, giving fans around the world their first real look at the series.
Shortly after Martin’s post, HBO shared a quick glimpse of the trailer, offering a sneak peek at Dunk and Egg having a conversation as they overlooked the grounds near the Tourney at Ashford.

Martin also confirmed that showrunner Ira Parker will appear at the panel alongside Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell, who portray Ser Duncan the Tall and Egg. “They are both incredible, perfect for their parts,” he wrote. With over 150,000 fans expected at the convention, the panel is shaping up to be one of NYCC’s biggest highlights. The first season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms premieres on HBO and Max in January 2026.
