  1. I just recently watched this. It was a good film, not as good as people say but good nonetheless. My judgement on a film's quality is odd as in; I try to imagine, what the film would be like if you took the exact same script but had it be a SciFi channel original. I don't think this one would have still been a good movie. This one the music does a lot for each scene. The effects are also important however without Hans Zimmer's score I think this would have fallen flat on its face.

  2. It seems a lot of people had issues with the love and human connection themes in this movie. I find that odd because without those, what are we as humans connecting to when we watch a film. Every good film makes you feel something and I don't think you can feel with just the "mechanics" of life or science. Christopher Nolan himself said in an interview that the bond between a father a daughter was really kind of the core of this whole story. And love isn't something to be underestimated. I mean how many stories are there of women lifting cars off of their children or teens lifting cars off of their fathers. I even read about a dog that kept going crazy whenever his owner had chest pain, then eventually, he just rammed his head into his owner's chest and dislodged an otherwise hidden tumor saving his life. Whether the dog knew the tumor was there is debatable sure, but if he did, why would he feel a need to do anything about it other than protecting the owner he loves and is connected to? I am just saying that if we start thinking that love and affection are too silly to take seriously in any circumstance, what will become of us as human beings? I know that this is just a film, but honestly, the sheer number of comments about how dumb the love aspect of this film is, kind of bothers me.

  3. This movie would have been amazing if Nolan removed everything to do with daughters, mothers, love, ghosts, bookshelves, any mention of words like, "transcendence" and Matt Damon. Nobody is willing to make hard scifi anymore without stupid love stories or supposedly highly intelligent people acting dumber than the average person just to advance a dumb plot. It even plagued Arrival.

  4. That was an AMAZING movie! And it was absolutely perfectly directed. The music, acting and the stunning visuals all rolled together to create a emotion/sensation that I have never felt in a film before. @HonestTrailers You know that you lose all credibility by criticizing all movies regardless to whether they are good or not. #shootingyourselfinthefoot

  5. The Dark Knight is the most overrated mediocre movie ever

Interstellar was pretty good. I really enjoyed it (i even watched it twice in two days)
    Visuals -10/10
    Music -9/10
    Story -7/10
The "love" thing was a bit contrived and the last 30 minutes was kinda out of left field but I liked it enough.
    Overall 7.5/10
