 Admittedly it bothers me more than it should that whoever is narrating does not use a noun or pronoun after "neither.
All of the main characters have earned meaningful deaths…I'm sure they are not going to kill Jaime off by drowning. He'll make a better hostage for Dany and test Cersei's love/loyalty for him. I see him playing a big role still.
I think that Jamie will kill Cercie and then kill himself as Danney's army come in for the kill on the Lannister. Cercie and Jamie came in the world together and they will leave it together.
