When James Cosmo looks back over his illustrious 51-year career in film and television he can’t recall anything like The Glass Man.

The veteran Scottish actor’s appearances from The Battle of Britain in 1969 to Braveheart in 1995 and Game of Thrones in 2013 never had a problem in reaching their intended audiences.

The Glass Man, a psychological thriller in which Clydebank-born Cosmo plays a gruff moneylender with anything but a heart of gold, was due for release in 2011 but was held up by legal wrangling over rights after the director, Cristian Solimeno, made what he describes as a “bad deal” in the US.
