Kit Harington headed to central London for a radio appearance this morning and, frankly, he looked exactly how we feel about the end of Game of Thrones.
Which is devastated, FYI.
The 31-year-old actor, who plays Jon Snow in the HBO series, was seen at the Global Radio studios on Wednesday morning and struggled to raise a smile as he entered the building.
Perhaps the early morning start was a little to brisk for Kit, who looked as though he was feeling the chill with a grimacing expression and his hands tucked into his pockets.
The British actor looked laidback and casual in a light blue jumper, blazer and jeans finished off with a beige skinny scarf.
Well, that itty bitty scarf is hardly going to fend off the cold.
Kit’s radio appearance comes hours after a Game of Thrones teaser trailer for season eight was released and confirmed the inevitable – the end of the cult fantasy series.
In the 30-second clip, Kit’s character Jon is seen alongside iconic characters past and present, including Ned Stark played by Sean Bean, King Joffrey, Cersei Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, Sansa Stark, the dragons and, of course, the Night King.
Throughout the short clip, the trailer declares: ‘Every battle. Every betrayal. Every alliance. Every risk. Every fight. Every sacrifice. Every oath. Every death is all #ForTheThrone.’
It doesn’t feature any fresh clips from the forthcoming and final season, but judging by Kit’s expression earlier today, things aren’t looking great for Jon.
With the epic show coming to an end, it’s no surprise Kit recently admitted that it’s been an emotional time for him.
The TV star revealed he cried twice while filming the series finale, confessing to Entertainment Weekly: ‘I walked in saying, “Don’t tell me, I don’t want to know”. What’s the point of reading it to myself in my own head when I can listen to people do it and find out with my friends?” adding that he wept.
‘The second time was the very end. Every season, you read at the end of the last script “End of Season 1” or “End of Season 2”. This read “End of Game of Thrones”. And you realise, OK, it’s really happening.’
Well now we can at least schedule when we will cry ourselves, with HBO announcing the final episodes will air in April 2019.
We totally feel your pain, Kit.
