Regular reunions with Kit and Rose

When asked about staying in touch, Clarke smiled and confirmed she frequently catches up with Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and Rose Leslie (Ygritte).

“I mean, I regularly do reunions with Kit and Rose. Kit and Rose are married. Rose is in the show as well. Yeah because they’re my genuine friends.”

The mention of their real-life marriage, which took place in 2018 after their on-screen romance as Jon and Ygritte, added a sweet, full-circle moment. Clarke emphasized that these meet-ups aren’t forced or publicity-driven as they happen naturally because of their deep, genuine friendship.

Keeping in touch with Iain Glen

She also highlighted her ongoing connection with Iain Glen (Ser Jorah Mormont), the loyal knight who stood by Daenerys through thick and thin.

“And then I see Iain as much as I can.” Clarke added warmly.

The two were most recently publicly spotted together at the Liverpool Comic Con in November 2025. The two stars even shared pictures with one another, acknowledging their meet and mutual adoration for each other. It was a warm sight for the fans.

Why these friendships matter to fans

For viewers who spent nearly a decade invested in the characters’ relationships, hearing about the real-life versions feels like an extension of the Westeros world. Clarke’s casual, heartfelt acknowledgement referring to them as “genuine friends,” reminds fans that some of the strongest connections from the show were built off-camera. Even years after Game of Thrones wrapped in 2019, these reunions show the cast’s loyalty and affection for one another.
