DETAILS of Game of Thrones season eight have been revealed by Kit Harington.

Kit, who plays Jon Snow in the Game of Thrones cast, has found himself thrust to the forefront of the show.

In Game of Thrones season seven, it was revealed that Jon was the true heir to the Iron Throne and seven kindoms.

The R+L=J fan theory was finally confirmed, meaning the romance between Jon and Daenerys Targaryen became a lot more confusing.

Game of Thrones season eight is in production now and the cast have had the scripts, though are sworn to secrecy.

That didn’t stop Kit from revealing a few sneaky details about what viewers can expect – and it sounds dramatic.

Speaking on The One Show, he said: “I cried at the end! It wasn’t anything particular that happens. You have to remember, I’ve done eight years of it.”

He continued: “I get a bit weepy thinking about it. It’s going to be a strange year. Saying goodbye to everyone, having your last scene with this person or having your last scene with that person.

“Not only you’re attached to it, loads of people around the world are attached to it.”

Unfortunately, it’s difficult to pick out any sort of plot point from Kit’s confession – though that doesn’t stop the speculation.

Could it be that Kit’s tears came after reading that Jon’s true love Daenerys is killed when the Night King invades?

Or is he upset because Jon never ends up on the Iron Throne like he is destined to?

Fans will have a longer wait to find out what happens, although there will only be six episodes in the final season.

Game of Thrones season eight is expected late 2018 or early 2019.
