Game of Thrones Season 8 seems just over the horizon with around 80 days in the ultimate release of the epic season. While we wait to be treated with more and more pieces of stuff like the official poster, a few official photos similar to the seventh season and of course, the official trailer which has been confirmed by Entertainment Weekly’s James Hibberd to be coming out soon. Amidst the wait, hyping up the series is Liam Cunningham who recently appeared on the Late Late Show.

Liam Cunningham says Game of Thrones Season 7 will bring a lot of characters together

First up Ser Davos Seaworth, quoting HBO’s chief Richard Plepler, who had revealed to the Variety that his experience watching the six episodes was just like watching six full-length movies, said:

“We normally took about six months to shoot ten episodes, and on the six episodes we’ve done for the last season it has taken us nearly a year. So the budget, the scale, is absolutely extraordinary.”

Additionally, Liam added that it (Final Season) “will be a different style; it’ll make epic seem small.” This has me much more excited for the final season, yet we already know this via an interview Peter Dinklage where he had revealed that The Battle of the Bastards is nothing compared to the action sequences in the final season. And, this doesn’t come to a surprise to us as they’ve filmed an epic battle at Winterfell this season with continuous 55 days.

And, finally, the part of the interview which has me most excited is Liam saying deliberately or probably trying to fool us by saying he will last in the series for a long time. This happened when Liam was praised for lasting a long time in the series, to which he replied:

“so far, so far. Not that that does mean anything…We’re all gonna die, Ryan, we’re all gonna die. Don’t forget one of the phrases in the show: Valar Morghulis; all men must die.”

We as fans would definitely want the Onion Knight to last in the series until the very last. Wishful thinking can be thinking him to be playing an older version of himself in the epilogue and narrating the story to Jon and Dany’s child – yet that would be overly ‘Disney-style’! And, we can’t forget that its Game of Thrones and especially the new teaser has revealed that too. Check out the full interview here:
