Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) recently spoke at a careers event at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Between all her valuable insights into life and business (she has her own app now, you know), she found time to talk to BBC News about the end of Game of Thrones, and what it will mean for her personally. Watch below:

When asked if she was sad about the show ending, Williams gave a response that resonated with us. “I don’t know, I’ll let you know on the final episode. I’ll probably be bawling my eyes out.” Same, girl, same. Still, she’s optimistic about her future. “It feels like the right time.”

It’s hard to believe that Williams is only 21 years old, having started on Game of Thrones before she’d entered her teenage years. “People have been saying to me, ‘When this show finishes, you’re gonna have your whole life and lots of opportunity’…I guess I’m just asking myself a lot of questions, like, ‘What do I want in my life?’ So I think it’s perfect timing, honestly.”

Williams’ future could involve movies — she’s slated to be in a few, like the X-Men spinoff New Mutants — but then again, it could not, as “[m]ost o the films that I see in the cinema right now don’t really interest me.”

Unfortunately, the movies that I read that I really love, they just don’t get funded right now. I don’t know why that is. People aren’t funding British movies anymore, or just indie movies in general.

Does that mean she’ll continue on with television? Williams thinks it’s “nice to be able to create characters over a long period of time,” but there are drawbacks, too, such as producers willing to “milk things to death” for money, which is something else she isn’t interested in.

So, while Williams looks for projects that are a good fit, we can look forward to catching her final performance as Arya Stark in Game of Thrones season 8, which kicks off on April 14.
