Matt Smith has opened up about one of his favourite dynamics in House of the Dragon; the relationship between his character, Daemon Targaryen, and Mysaria (played by Sonoya Mizuno).
In an interview with SFX Magazine, Smith revealed that he has long been fascinated by the pairing.

“I’ve always been intrigued by his (Daemon’s) relationship with Mysaria. The complexity and nature, and the genuine intrigue that surrounds both of these characters.”
Smith went on to praise Sonoya Mizuno’s performance, calling her both a wonderful actor and a wonderful person:
“She’s expertly played by Sonoya Mizuno, who is a wonderful actor and a wonderful person. It’s good to see her character come to the forefront this year. She’s always been one of my favourite characters, for sure.”

Mysaria steps into spotlight
With House of the Dragon Season 3, Mysaria is finally getting more screen time and a bigger role in the story. Smith’s comments suggest that fans can expect her complicated relationship with Daemon to play a more prominent part moving forward.
