Game of Thrones Season 8 is underway with less than 80 days left in its premiere. While we await more updates on the new season, the prequel or the ‘unnamed’ spin-off show is expected to begin filming the next month.
A couple of weeks ago, we’ve had a number of updates regarding the same – new names added to the cast list like Sheila Atim, Jaime Campbell Bower, and more – apart from Naomi Watts and Josh Whitehouse who were announced to play the lead. Latest from Naomi Watts is that she recently had an interview with the Variety where she talked about the prequel without revealing much.
Upon being asked to reveal a small detail about the prequel series, Naomi replied:
“Do you really think I’m going to tell you that? Are you trying to catch me off guard?”
Well, of course, we do understand that all Game of Thrones cast members are supposed to keep mum on any detail on the series and are made to sign a non-disclosure document prior to coming aboard. And, Naomi is one of such cast members now. Upon being asked how excited she was for getting a role in Game of Thrones franchise, she replied:
“It’s a fantastic world, isn’t it? I think there are so many brilliant elements to that series that make it very exciting, very appealing…I don’t want to dig myself into a big hole here… All I want to say is it’s very exciting…I’ll say that again and again and again — and nothing else.”
The prequel begins filming in February, and we will surely keep you updated with the same. So, how excited are you for Season 8 and the new spin-off series? Tell us in the comments section down below.
