Editor’s Note: because this is a Game of Thrones post, we feel compelled to let you know there may be potential spoilers for the past seven seasons in the story below. Don’t say we didn’t warn you! (Also: why are you clicking on Game of Thrones stories if you aren’t caught up?)

Guess what, kids? Westeros’ most fed-up sisterlover is a fan of your most-treasured fan theory. You know the one, based on ol’ Maggy the Frog’s prophecy regarding the life of Cersei Lannister? The one that says the Valonqar (Valyrian for “younger sibling”–because they weren’t so hung up on gender signifiers those modern-thinking dead people!) will kill her? Yup, that’s the one! And Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, like you and me, is fairly certain his Jaime Lannister is the lad that does the killing.

In a new interview with InStyle, the actor opened up about the possibility that his golden hand will be the one to bring about Cersei’s death. “It makes sense,” Coster-Waldau explained. “He killed the Mad King and now he’s killing the Mad Queen.” It would be, as he put it, a “beautiful connect” given his character’s trajectory and evolution thus far.

And though the actor likened such an occurrence to “the Red Wedding 2,” he also steered clear of delighting in a murder most un-foul, adding that it “would be really horrible. I hope he wouldn’t.” After all, as far as Jaime knows, Cersei is pregnant with their latest incest baby. And though Coster-Waldau is “not sure anymore … Jaime believed her.”

You can head over to InStyle to read the rest of the interview, but put it to us plain: do you want to see Cersei die at Jaime’s hand? Or do you think it’ll be someone like Tyrion or Arya (or better yet, Arya in Jaime’s face)? Let us know in the comments.
