Rose Leslie says husband Kit Harington hasn’t spoiled the ending of Game of Thrones for her (Picture: FilmMagic)

Kit Harington might have had us all thinking that he had ruined the final ending of Game of Thrones for wife Rose Leslie, but turns out that isn’t actually the case.

Like us, Rose – who played Jon Snow’s old love interest Ygritte on the HBO series – is none the wiser.

Kit was actually talking about season seven when he previously claimed that Rose had stopped talking to him for ‘three days’ after he revealed the ending to her.

In his defence, she did ask and well, the Jon Snow actor just got a little carried away.

Setting the record straight, Rose insisted she is going into season eight just as clueless as the rest of us in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly.

The 32-year-old confessed she got a bit ‘uppity’ with Kit for telling her way too much info about season seven and says his claims she didn’t speak to him for three days were a *bit* of an exaggeration: ‘I love that. Look at him trying to get a soundbite. That’s hilarious!’

In this case, you really do know nothing Jon Snow.

Rose, who married Kit last year, continued: ‘I genuinely don’t know the ending [of season eight]. I actually don’t want to know the ending.

‘Believe it or not, it’s such a monumental phenomenal show, and I want to be like the rest of the world and watch it in real time and get that build up and anticipation. I want to finally come to the final episode and truly – and I honestly mean this – not know which way it goes.’

Kit, meanwhile, has said that he thinks the final ending is going to be ‘groundbreaking’ and had actually cried over it during the cast’s read through of the script.

‘I know how it wraps up. Yeah, I think it’s gonna be groundbreaking,’ he told KISS Breakfast.

Asked whether he was happy with the conclusion, Kit chose to give nothing away, as he teased: ‘It’s a weird one to answer, that. I can’t really answer whether I’m happy or not.

‘I don’t think it’s about happy or sad really. I’m satisfied with what they did, but I don’t know whether I’ll be really satisfied until I see it.’

Ahead of Game of Thrones’s return, fans have already been spinning their theories on the final season, with some convinced Ned Stark will be making a comeback.

Show bosses have released a series of pictures of the cast ahead of the final season but are keeping coy when it comes to the trailer for the series.

HOW MUCH LONGER DO WE HAVE TO WAIT?!

Game of Thrones season 8 premieres 14 April on HBO in the US and Sky Atlantic in the UK.
