Snoke Darker Than Palpatine Explained | New Evidence From The Last Jedi Promotion

Guys, Andy Serkis has been saying A LOT about Snoke recently. I haven’t covered much of it yet, and just recently he said that Snoke is darker than Palpatine. That got my interest peaked! In this video, I explain what that means and why it falls in line with my current Snoke theory! Let’s talk about it!

Our Humble Beginnings: The Den of Nerds started as the personal YouTube channel of our founder, Joshua Lucas. Josh is a comic book writer and editor, but more importantly, he’s a HUGE Nerd. He started making videos on June 15th 2016. The goal back then was to just talk about Nerdy things, but quickly Josh found that his interests had changed. Soon after, he formed a new vision for what The Den of Nerds could and should be.

The Changing State of Media: Media Is going through the most massive shift in the past hundred years. Everything is going digital, direct to market, and mobile. The best and worst part of this is that there are no more gatekeepers. Anyone and everyone can put their content out there and reach a mass audience. However, the new gatekeeper is the algorithm. In order to get stuff in front of people, certain practices are done which hurt quality. In this world, where established networks are now fighting for views against thousands of YouTube personalities and bloggers, ALL of these people have forgotten the most important part of this equation. That is the value for the end consumer. That is something we will NEVER do. How will we figure out how to add value to our audience? It’s simple; we’ll ACTUALLY interact with them and we’ll actually CARE.

Our Vision: We want to become the ESPN of Nerdy things, but obviously with some changes. We imagine a place and time where we have high quality and personalized content put out every day that serves Nerds around the world. We want to be hyper interactive with our viewers on Social Media and in person. Simply put, we exist to expand the fun in YOUR life! Becoming a major player in reporting, programming, and covering Nerdy things is how we plan to do that!

  1. yes and you know  him  I bet and you don't  realize it … …  and   he  came from  dead flesh and is like  Dracula…  ..  and  the fact he has to feed  gives him unlimitless power     he is  stronger than  Paplatine but   is a fake of sorts also … he is not a natural user he  is getting  his powers  probably from the  holochron  or  something like that …     he is only  70 years old   every  thing about  his is a mimic of Palpatine   the ship the  guards all of it  … he has to have a tie in to the current  trilogys   so  he is ancient  he is not a fallen whill..    no such thing as a fallen whill they believe in both …

  2. If snoke and Luke discovered the same thing about the force than wouldn’t that in a way make them as equally powerful? I️ mean if snoke is stronger than palp & Vader than luke has to be the strongest Jedi/ grey Jedi ever …

  3. It's pretty pretentious of Serkis to assert that his character, whom we don't know anything about yet, is darker than one of, if not the, darkest and most evil villains in all of cinema. Not a smart move to say this because now many, me included, will now have super high expectations of Snoke and be antagonistic toward embracing his character because Serkis essentially just downplayed a completely awesome villain, for which we have yet to see any justification for. Serkis has basically assured that when it's all said and done, I'm going to be saying, "Snoke is far inferior to Palpatine."

  4. Also, stop with these whill theories. Whills are invisible spirit beings that can only be seen by wearing masks. If you watched the Yoda arch with them, you'd know this, as they disappeared the second they took off their masks. Snoke is a physical being, who is very vulnerable. And yes, your theory about his personal hatred for the resistance not being about this particular resistance would be out of context, since the formation of the resistance isn't a resistance to his rule, as he doesn't even rule. The resistance was founded to resist the republic's rule to ignore the threat of the first order because of the ignorance on the danger. It was formed to resist the treaty made by the republic. So, yes, Snoke has a personal hatred for the members of the resistance, most likely Leia. But it has nothing to do with them being a resistance. That makes no sense.

  5. Obviously you haven't been following. Palpatine wanted to rule over the force itself and basically warp reality in his image, which is HIS version of peace: to blunt out the light side of the force from the universe so he wouldn't have to worry about it striking back at him. Palpatine's definition of peace doesn't align with what the rest of the galaxy's definition of it, just as he mentioned to Vader in recent comics. He even tells Vader that the galaxy only deserves their hate. Peace has always been a lie according to the sith, it's their philosophy. Or, more accurately peace as defined by most is a lie. Peace to Sidious is acquiring all the power there is to acquire, with no threat to his rule. Snoke, unlike Sidious is fueled by something personal that happened to him and wants revenge on those that he thinks is responsible for his injuries. Palpatine is and has always been out for power.

  6. Snoke darker than palpatine…. right.
Let’s read the receipts: palpatine was able to be amongst the Jedi while hiding his force powers, deceive the entire senate, overthrow the republic, create a false flag war that killed millions and caused destruction across the galaxy, destroy a marriage, have the chosen one turn to the dark side and make him believe he killed his pregnant wife, have the chosen one be on life support suit and in constant pain, create an oppressive empire, exterminate most of Jedi which had was more massive than the new Jedi order and lasted for centuries, create the first planet destroying weapon, and legally dissolve the senate.

What has snoke done? Oh yeah turn some edge lord who had dysfunctional parents to the dark side and lost against someone who just learned about what the force was and never used a lightsaber before. Get that fetus looking, no sith the fuck out of here hahaha!

  7. Thanks for all the love, guys! I'm also super sorry about the music in this video! It's waaaaaaaaaaay too loud! I must have screwed up the levels when I rendered it… I'll make sure the next one is better!

  8. I definitely think it’s possible Snoke could be a fallen Whill. My only problem with the Theory since the interview AS did for EW is that he says he’s obsessed with wealth. Would a Whill care about wealth? I’m far from an expert on TGOTW but does it say anything about their view on wealth and power?

  9. It sounds rather dramatic. I think Disney tries to make something new and different from the last two trylogies. That's why they would say everything to make the new heroes darker and more interesting. Disney is making big promises with TLJ and I hope we won't leave the theaters dissapointed.
