Sophie Turner has ruled out ever returning as Sansa Stark in a Game Of Thrones spin-off show, saying it would ‘be more trauma’.
Game Of Thrones climaxed earlier this month with a controversial finale, which saw Sansa Stark emerge as Queen Of The North while brother Bran rules the south in King’s Landing.
There’s a number of spin-offs in the pipeline, but the only one confirmed is a prequel set thousands of years before events in the mainline show.
It’s left open the hope of beloved characters continuing their story in a dedicated spin-off, but that isn’t something Sophie Turner is interested in tackling.
Speaking to Sky News about a potential return, Sophie said: ‘I think it’s time to say goodbye to Sansa. I’m ready…ish to say goodbye to her.
‘I think my watch has ended. It’s been 10 years of my life and the best 10 years of my life by far.’
She added: ‘I feel like if I played her again it would just be more trauma.’
The actress has previously opened up about how she suffered from depression after reading comments on social media criticising her acting skills and weight.
While there’s a number of spin-offs in development, only one has been confirmed with the provisional title of Bloodmoon – which is set to take place in The Age Of Heroes.
Naomi Watts, Josh Whitehouse, John Simm, and more are set to star in the spin-off, which has been written by George RR Martin and Jane Goldman.
