Sophie Turner has revealed how filming for a show almost ‘destroyed’ her hair, to the point where she had to wear a wig.
The 22-year-old actress has played Sansa Stark in Game Of Thrones since its inception in 2011, with the character’s hair playing a surprisingly key part in her development.
Sophie has previously revealed how Sansa’s hair was subtly altered to reflect her rising authority, but now it appears the shift from her natural hair colour hasn’t exactly helped her locks.
Speaking to Glamour, Sophie said: ‘A few years ago, I was trying to go back from red to blonde, and it destroyed my hair to the point that I had to use a wig.
‘They wouldn’t let me dye it back red or my hair would’ve fallen out.’
Luckily Sophie’s hair nightmare was resolved for future seasons of the show. Panic resolved.
Details from the final season of Game Of Thrones have emerged recently, with cast members teasing enormous battles to even top season six’s Battle Of The Bastards.
Naomi Watts and Josh Whitehouse were also recently cast in the show’s first spin-off, provisionally titled The Long Night, set hundreds of years before the main show’s events.
Game Of Thrones season eight will kick off in 2019.
