What was once a stacked field of 64 sci-fi and fantasy characters has been whittled down to our Sweet Sixteen, thanks to your votes. Before we move on to the next round, let’s take a look at what happened in Round 2!
Many of our matchups were close. Last year’s winner Moiraine Damodred triumphed over newcomers the Falcon and the Winter Soldier by only two points. Fellow Wheel of Time character Rand al’Thor bested Lord Voldemort by the same slim margin. Daenerys Targaryen emerged victorious over Outlander’s Jamie Fraser by over 10 points, but they were engaged in a pitched back and forth battle throughout the week. Their contest resulted in over sixteen thousand votes, over triple the amount of the next closest matchup.
Moving on to the next round, Star Wars and the MCU look to be heavy favorites, with three and four contestants respectively. Still, you can’t count anyone out.
