  1. why is it that, the number 7 in GoT seems to be holy, but the dragons/whitewalkers came back about 8000 years after the others were defeated. I mean ten thousand years ago the first man came to westeros if i recall, it just seems like it should be 7000 years .

  2. was if The Ice Dragon just happens in a parallel timeline of ASOIAF
    same world, different reality

could we see comparisons between the two, and deduce some kind of major event that caused the differences between the two realities

its a hell of a stretch, but george has spread clues over multiple series before

  3. I always assumed that Winterfell was called that, because fell is the term used in Northern England for the upland areas, which are bleak, barren and covered in snow in winter. GRRM uses a lot of terms like that – for example garron is the scottish word for a stocky pony.

  4. Hey Bridge. Just read the Ice Dragon today after work. I loved it. I made note of the sad cry also. I went over that passage a couple of times.
    Thanks for the videos, brother.

  5. [No spoils] Ep7 was pretty good o.o I feel like they got back on track with it. It was also great in the sense that some amazing twists and turns happened, some a little creepy gross at the end there. But shit, I'm back on board. Now to wait for 2 more years >.<

    Also: FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK

  6. Crackpot thought while watching this: Three types of dragons, possibly, are fire, ice, and wight/white. What if the battle between fire and wight/white dragons over Winterfell WAKES the ice dragon?

  7. I feel bad for your research – it is so well done and I am sure you put a lot of time and effort into it. But your capacity for narration is so lucid that it almost feels like there was no research; you just told your own story! Wow!

  8. It would be awesome if Jon is absent in the battle vs the night king , and right when the people almost lost , he will show up with does of ice dragons and defeat the night king
    But that will never happen

  9. Hey bridge4 – I was thinking about this death and life thingy and realised that actually – death is not humans' true enemy. When they die by the hands of white walkers or wights – they stay dead for a bit and after that get resurrected by the night king – and they become "undead". You may argue that wights are technically dead because they have no tissue and blood – but both in the books and on the show we have a few zombies – Beric, Jon and Lady Stonehart. If we take the Lady Stonehart as an example – she is not what you may call dead, but she is also not just following the will of someone else – she has a drive – to revenge for her family's death. And so maybe the wights still have consciousness somewhere.
Another possible connection to that is – that according to the books – the creatures that the wargs warg into still have a consciousness, but it is either suppressed by the warg or the creature has accepted the warg as a part of him. This may mean that the wights which look like warged-in ice undead zombies may still have conscious mind and actually want to fight for the white walkers – because the white walkers do not leave them to die – the white walkers literally defy death – they are the only ones that, at least on first sight, can actually say "no" to the god of death constantly.
Look at the night king – lives for thousands of years literally – haven't aged a day. Fire consumes – ice preserves. May be the white walkers have found the answer to immortality.
It would be awesome if you tell me what you think about that.
Thanks for reading if you actually managed to read up to here

  10. Bridge4 i personaly think that the Starks do not represent the cold that much, " winter is coming" is a bad thing for them, they do not embrance the cold or ice creatures unlike the valyrians( at the actual moment in our history only the targaryen)… but they do with the nature, they anscestors are the firs men and they devouted to the old gods, and allied with children of the forest(singers is the real name, relating to "song" in "a song of ice and fire" , like the first men who got skinchangind and greenseer they are relat to the "green" that is nature). What i mean is that in George's job the ice is represented by the others who are the "human like" that incorporates ice, so with the valyrians but with fire and more human like than the others. The problem is they both are a super powerful moment conquered and controlled the continet they lived had a awesoe downfall… But they are coming back in the mother of dragons and the new others, i think that jon as westeros will be the battlefield.
