Love Island newcomer Belle Hassan has secured her status in the villa following the post-Casa Amor recoupling which saw her pairing up with Anton Danyluk.

The 21-year-old make-up artist from Kent was one of six new girls who arrived on the show last week as the Casa Amor twist kicked off – and wasted no time in getting to know Anton better.

She has a claim to fame of her own also – in that she’s the daughter of actor Tamer Hassan, who’s been in some pretty big TV shows in his time.

So just who is Tamer and what have you seen him in before – and what’s Belle’s connection to Danny Dyer?

Here’s what you need to know…

Who is Belle Hassan’s famous dad Tamer Hassan?

Tamer Hassan is 51 and is from Bermondsey in south London.

He’s got an impressively long list of credits to his name, starting with a small role in the 1987 Kevin Costner movie No Way Out, as well as having appeared in the likes of EastEnders, Hotel Babylon, The Bill, Casualty, Batman Begins, Layer Cake, Clash Of The Titans and Kick-Ass.

However you might just recognise him from Game Of Thrones, in which he appeared in 2016 as Khal Forzo – appearing alongside Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys Targaryen as she tried to assume the role of Dothraki leader.

Belle has said her dad is ‘like my best friend’ and revealed the advice he gave her before she made her Love Island debut.

‘He’s told me to be myself but has also warned me “I’m watching and I’m going to be seeing every detail!”.’

What is Belle Hassan’s connection to Danny Dyer?

That also comes from her dad, who appeared alongside Danny in 2004’s The Football Factory as well as 2005  movie The Business – which gave Belle the chance to get to know Love Island winner Dani Dyer.

‘Because he was in a film with Danny Dyer, I’ve met Dani Dyer when we were kids,’ she explained.

When is Love Island on?

The series continues on ITV2 on Wednesday night at 9pm.
