we have two kinds of giant black ants we called it hantic and pitik.. and we fight them… hantic is furios but you have to blind them first by pulling one antenna.. then they will fight to death

I've eaten Black ants by mistake because they were inside a bread roll and they tasted exactly like blue cheese. I like the Black crazy Ants more than the fire ants because the black ants don't sting. I used to put my hand inside black ant nests and they've never hurt me. They are excellent at killing roaches and other pests and any dead animal laying around so it prevented the spread of some diseases. Black ant FTW!
In the Dominican Republic, where I was born, the call the Black Ants ( Ormigas Bobas, Silly Ants for English) because they don't sting human or at least no one had ever claimed to be stung by them. We don't like fire ants obviously because the sting hurts a lot.

at my old house there was a bunch of ants in my front yard i thought they were just living together until i saw one day that they were fighting im pretty sure they were red ants and black ants there was 2 red ants and 1 black ants they ran up to each other one red ants ran back to the nest and while the black ant was running back the red ant bit off its leg but it still manged to get back but then they started swarming out it seems that the red ants were ready first they just swarmed out and the black ants didnt get the chance to even come out the nest but then all i saw was the red ants pulling black ants and everything from there nest back to theres
