“At times, I wonder, ‘Why? Why is he at these meetings?’ I just don’t feel like Daemon would be there. So the only way through it is for him to be a petulant, annoying child.”
This framing makes Daemon’s antics less about immaturity and more about survival. He cannot fight, so he lashes out in the only way available — by undermining the seriousness of the council.
