Game of Thrones is arguably one of the greatest shows that television has ever had. Even though the series might be over, fans are still clamoring for any information they can get about the making of the highly popular series. Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark, recently revealed some surprising information about what producers planned to do to Jon Snow (Kit Harington) in an epic prank for the ages.
The producers would prank actors on ‘Game of Thrones’
Williams took part in an episode of the show First We Feast’s Hot Ones. She revealed some interesting details about how producers would prank actors on the show and let it play out for weeks at a time before coming clean that is was all a joke. It makes sense that the group would play jokes on one another after spending so many years working together on the set.
The hilarious plan for Kit Harington
In one prank, the producers let Harington think that his character was going to be disfigured and need prosthetics with a fake, yet hilarious script. He was made to think that he would be disfigured in an attack, according to Williams.
Harington was reportedly convinced of his character’s fate. “They did another one on Kit Harington where they said he got really aggressively mauled on the face and he was going to have a huge disfigurement on his beautiful, chiseled jaw,” Williams said. “That one was quite funny, poor guy.”
As all Game of Thrones fans already know, Harington is a handsome actor that viewers can’t seem to get enough of. The King in the North was a staple on the series from the beginning. It’s obvious why producers would want to go there and make Harington think his character was going to be deformed.
Even the actors gave Kit Harington a hard time
Apparently, the producers aren’t the only ones to have a little fun at Harington’s expense. He was recently at ACE Comic-Con and spoke about his time on the hit series. Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones, was known to poke fun at how much time went into Harington’s unique look. His hair and makeup had to be just perfect for his role. “Sophie Turner needs to just shush every now and then,” Harington said when asked about it specifically.
Kit Harington formed a bond with his on-screen family
Harington also mentioned the bond he’s formed with his on-screen siblings over the years while at ACE Comic-Con. “The thing about Sophie, Maisie, Isaac and me is that we were together for so long,” Harington revealed. “Richard [Madden] was definitely in that too. We became like actual siblings, we would literally fight each other. We have a very sibling relationship.”
Game of Thrones is still a popular series that has
changed pop culture as we know it. The people who worked on the show became
close over the years and obviously had a lot of fun behind-the-scenes together.
