I just hope that Rockstar sticks with a single protagonist with RDR2. I enjoyed the multi-protagonist approach of GTA V, yet Red Dead deserves that single "Good Guy" attitude/vibe. A good guy cowboy set to save the day; I certainly miss that. John Marston did the role with such a sincere eloquence.

hello ,i think that assault on train is a prologue at it happens in GTA V .in this prologue we will find the gang dutch including him as we can check in the trailler .
the story must happen after the death o John Marston ,Arthur is a whanted man by 3 states and at the same time looks for money that supposedly he and the gang robbed in the convoy also it is possible to be verified in the trailler.
to be able to recover the money Arthur recruits other old friends like indian and the blond woman ,also is verified in the trailler bcause she says she trust him and the indian says that they will need gun, it seems that they will help the Arthur .
the rest of trailler shows a little of whant we can do in the game , camping, stealing, hunting, animal life etc..
at the last when we had the voices of ducth and Arthur in the two traillers RDR2 they pretense to prologue.
one thing is certain , the ROCKSTAR NEVER REPEATS the same characters.maybe it s wrong maybe not….CYA

Why does everyone want Arthur Morgan to be good deep down inside? IT'S THE WILD WEST PEOPLE!!!!! Let's be cold hearted murderous bank robbers!!!! I think Arthur is Johns mentor in some way, I think he’s completely part of dutches gang, but more like the 2nd in command and does missions for dutch. That’ll lead him to recruit other members and select them to take for missions.

At 1:14 seconds, the scene with the three men walking away from the burning mansion, obviously Bill Williamson and Arthur Morgan are on either side but the guy in the middle is unfamiliar compared to anyone else in the trailer. I think it's Seth Briars, the creepy grave robber from rdr, we know he used to be normal at one point until his search for treasure drove him mad. Could just be a small side quest seeing as Morgan is after money or it could be someone else entirely but that walk he doe's in trailer looks far too similar to the character in rdr.

Why dose the game say rocket league

In RDR if memory serves right,it was mentioned that John was left to die in some Bank Robbery,but we never clearly understand who saves him. Maybe it was Arthur,that's why John doesn't mention him during the time when he was searching for the other members,in order to kill them,if I'm not mistaken,cause of his loyalty,you know,because Morgan saved him. Also in the first trailer of Red Dead redemption 2 there is a voice line which is saying,When the time comes,you need to run,and don't look back. Maybe Morgan said that to John ?

I think Dutch betrayed Arthur and Arthur is hunting Dutch and his gang and Arthur is the one who shot John marston

If it's true that Morgan gets a posse in this game I want it to be like GTA San Andreas where when you hit max respect you can recruit 7 gang members in free roam but in this one you can like whistle to 7 of Dutch's guys and they all follow you killing sheriffs and stuff.

I DON'T care about historical facts when it comes to playing make believe, (games). 1880s is a good era. Bending 10/20 years of history is no bad thing. (When it comes to weapons). Unless your a history nerd, I wouldn't know when exactly which guns where invented. If it works for films it will work for games just a well.

I want to know who the mysterious man is. Perhaps a retired Pinkerton? A retired gang member? One thing we know for sure, is that he is a ghost. John shot him several times in RDR, which did nothing.
Maybe he is Arthur years later after vanishing from the gang. Haunting John? Who knows. God, I love a nice mystery in a game.

I don't think questioning why Arthur Morgan wasn't mentioned in RDR is much helpful.
I mean if you think about it, RDR was released before RDR2 but the story of RDR takes place AFTER the story of RDR2. So, while working on RDR, it's kind of difficult to assort and regulate the WHOLE story and events before it all the way leading up to the point where you start the story of RDR.

Hey lagacy, the shot in the trailer when the lights from the train Arthurs gang is about to rob shines across their faces hiding in the woods… this is a direct "ripoff" from a scene in a movie called The Assassination of jesse james by the coward robert ford. which is a movie that brings a real life feel to a western. what this tells me is that even though rockstar likes to exaggerate there story, that this game will have a more realistic feel to it! assassination of jesse james is a complicated movie, meaning the good and bad isn't so cut and dry, it's not black and white, so even though jesse james is an outlaw, a murder and completely insane, he's also a devoted husband and father. jesse james is loved but hated and feared. I feel like this will be the same thing with Arthur, I feel like he won't be a black and white character.

This fits alot of what i've been thinking since the trailer came out. But the bit about Arthur ending up on Dutch's radar was a nice adition. Would love it if this game took some of the bigger pices of lore and let us experience them. The Blackwater Massacre i would love to see. And the boat robbery… I don't think the game should end there tough. I think the game should continue after that for a little while. And i again have to say i really hope they don't remove Arthur from us at the end. I hated that we lost John in RDR and got Jack instead. If we end up with John at the end of RDRII it's better then having Jack. But i would like to have the option of playing as Arthur after the credits role. Would love if John was added as a Playable character at the end as well. But i want both then. Like in GTAV, give us an option to switch between the two at any point. And as to why Arthur isn't in RDR… Well there ould be plenty of reasons behind this. One, he could have died later on. Or maybe he just went under the radar and the FBI just didn't know anything about him so he wasn't a target? Maybe he fakes his death and John promised to never say anything? Or maybe he ran far far away after the events of RDRII? If he died you could add that as a nice pice of lore. There are two ways of doing this… If Red Dead Online is set after the main story you could put it in a News Paper. Let Players find a News Paper where we find the headline ''Infamous outlaw Arthur Morgan killed in a bar fight''. Something simple… Or something that would honestly be a bit cooler. If Rockstar added an update file to RDR where in John's home we could find a old news Paper where it says something about Arthur dying. And since they most likely have the Voice actor in house at the moment reccord a basic line for John and add into the game where he just says something like ''So long partner''… There are plenty of ways he could NOT be in RDR without being killed in the game. But what ever, it's gonna be exiting to see. But with how closely tighed to RDR this game is… What will they do when they one day eventually make RDRIII? Will it be as closely tighed to these two games as this is to the first?

I saw the trailer of rdr 2 and I saw the bow and I was glad to see that but on both trailers I saw the 1874 sharps rifle, Scofield revolver, colt piece maker or cattlemen revolver,and more weapons and the alligator was I guess a new animal in the game

I think the guy with the bowler hat on, we see in the bar, when the lady stabs the guy in the hand. Is also the same guy in the fight scene when Morgan is being slammed to the ground. He is standing in the back ground over the left shoulder.
