A consistent yet evolving process
Despite acknowledging personal growth with age, Smith explained that his general method for tackling roles remains quite straightforward:

“I think with every job, you kind of approach it in a similar sort of way, don’t you? You turn up, you try and do… You do the research, you focus as much as you can… I turn up and put the wig on and just give it my best shot, really.”
The self-deprecating “put the wig on” comment drew laughs, perfectly capturing Smith’s playful attitude toward one of television’s most unpredictable characters.
Playful energy on display
The interview took a fun turn when the interviewer jokingly asked,
“You’re doing it with the love, Daemon, right?” to which Matt enthusiastically replied:
“Woo! Of course.”
This moment perfectly reflects the chaotic, passionate energy Matt Smith brings to Daemon; both on and off screen.
