What happens in the new teaser
The teaser opens with a chilling scene of Aemond Targaryen seated on the Iron Throne. In a cold, accusatory tone, he asks, “Where were you, mother?” to Alicent. This is followed by a warning about an impending trap: “It is a trap to lure you into Vhagar’s jaws.” The visuals escalate quickly with a massive dragon emerging from ruined stone structures under a stormy sky, followed by sweeping shots of multiple dragons soaring over the sea. Dragons can be clearly seen in this teaser as most of the sequences feature them.
On the ground, the teaser cuts to fierce hand-to-hand combat where soldiers raise crossbows amid clashing swords. A heightened emotional moment comes when Rhaenyra looks shattered and says, “Have you both betrayed your queen?!” signalling some kind of betrayal faced by Rhaenyra. The clip builds to a fiery crescendo of embers and smoke before ending with the bold title card “HOUSE” and the premiere date June 21.

Themes of betrayal and escalating war
This latest teaser strongly emphasizes betrayal and fractured loyalties on both sides of the conflict. Aemond’s confrontation hints at growing rifts even within the Green faction, while the large-scale dragon and naval sequences promise the biggest battles the series has delivered yet. Fans are already dissecting every frame, speculating about key character fates, surprise alliances, and which major battles are being teased.
The Dance of the Dragons is heating up like never before.
