Years after Game of Thrones set records with 59 Emmy wins, HBO is positioning A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms as its next awards contender. According to Gold Derby, the Westeros prequel has submitted 13 actors across multiple categories for the 2026 Emmy Awards.

The lineup includes lead star Peter Claffey as Ser Duncan “Dunk” the Tall and Dexter Sol Ansell as Prince Aegon “Egg” Targaryen, alongside a wide ensemble of Targaryens, Baratheons, and supporting players. The series is also pushing its acclaimed fifth episode, In the Name of the Mother, in directing, writing, and technical fields.
