Oh girl! You are missing Outlander.. It's my 2nd fave. then Vikings.. Medici it's a good one too. I love period pieces so I still wanna check out Poldark, The Handmaids Tale, The Crown is really good and Netflix just added a show called Alias Grace that looks amazing.. Salem is interesting too

Haven't watched Spartacus, or one of the others, Game of thrones is too, with Tudors white queen, and Reign and Vikings rounding up my Medevil thirst!! All great in there own!!!!!!

I loved the Last Kingdom. The characters are great and there is a lot of violence but also a lot of humour and romance. Uhtred and Ragnar and Brida are my favourite characters. The Tudors was fantastic as well.

There are 4 seasons of Spartacus. Watch the filler season which was the second season first. Gannicus backstory explains a lot going forward.

Love The Last Kingdom Alexander Dreymon who plays the lead is unbelievable mesmerising.

Roar, was show that came out in the 90's (I think), stared the late Heath Ledger. Was it great? Check it out. Fantasy shows didn't get a lot of chances back then but I liked it.

GrayArea I agree you might be into The Walking Dead, the prostetics alone are worth the watch! You might also get some joy out of Penny Dreadful..its just fun! Black Sails is also a good watch! There really isn't anything like GOT! Love your list!

Vikings was and is amazing I loved reign as a love story and I just start to watch the last kingdom which seems to be awesome so I will definitely be binge watching the other two very soon thanks much for this it was a great idea

Spartacus has 4 seasons, season 2 was a prequel because Andy Whitfield, who played Spartacus in season 1, sadly died of cancer, so whilst they were looking for a replacement they made a prequel season that didn't have Spartacus but gave a background to some of the other main characters and introduced some new characters that came into the show in seasons 3 & 4, such as Gannicus, it's called Spartacus: God's of the arena, I'd recommend watching that if you haven't already, it's a short season though only 6 episodes, more like a mini-series.

It took a little getting into the Last Kingdom but once you get going it’s great. I binged watched it before the latest season of GOT came out. I never got to finish the Tutors. I think only saw the first or second season a few years back but enjoyed it. I love that you described Spartacus as a Quinton Terentino feel! I totally agree!!! I wouldn’t have even thought to watch Reign if it weren’t for you. Thank you! I’ll check it out! GREAT LIST!!

The Expanse. Yeah, I know it's a SciFi show, but the storytelling is not that far off from Game of Thrones. As well, both are based on an already popular book series. On top of it, both feature several main characters and loads of political intrigue. Rome was damn excellent back in its day as well, some even call it the spiritual predecessor to GoT. Several actors have been cast in both series & several historians praised its – considering it was a TV show – relative historical accuracy.

Love, love Vikings watched it faithfully. Also Spartacus was a big fan watched every episode. The Tudors another favorite watched every episode. Reign loved the first 3 seasons after not so much but I want to see it to the end. Never seen The Last Kingdom so have to check out. Another favorite show I've watched on Nextflix is The Crown so far only one season loved it it has no action but drama, drama of the royal family of England's Queen Elizabeth Winsor in her early years of being queen. It's only 10 episodes but It's good I believe a new season will be available next year sometime. Then not sure if It's on Nextflix The White Queen based of the book series by Philippa Gregory tells the story Elizabeth Woodville and King Edward the houses of Lancaster and York. Also The White Princess also based of Philippa Gregory book of the same name follows The York Princess Elizabeth and King Henry Tudor must marry to end the War of Roses.

Thank you much… you have definitely given me some ideas of what to watch while I wait for Game of Thrones… I know I can't wait till it's back on, but still sad it's going to be over soon as well… kinda siked to see what they have in store for the spin-offs… I do want to say, I did however watch all of The Last Kingdom, and I do love it and thank you for letting me know when season 3 will be coming out… I can't wait…. I love historical drama especially when the guys are all warrior hotness and stuff…lol sorry..
