Let’s talk about Bran the Builder: legendary hero? Or did he live long enough to see himself become the villain?

Theory videos make me want to drink. I never feel I articulate them well. Maybe that’s what I’m doing wrong. I need to get super drunk before I make theory videos. Maybe my tinfoil hat isn’t strong enough.

Random thought: maybe Bran went to the dark side because he got “bad poussey.” Damn you, Sand Snakes!

  1. okay, so. i just thought of a theory stemming from this one.
so u know how a lot of people dont differentiate btw the night's king and the night king, and some do but think theyre the same person. i always thought them wrong, but what if they're right? what if bran the builder is the night king, created (or turned, w/e) by, presumably, his wife? what if the main hero of westerosi history, and the biggest antagonist of modern westeros? it would explain how the wall could be rendered futile so easily (well, that, and the marking bran has on his arm, given to him by the nights king, combined with the fact that he has to cross to tell jon hes a targaryen)

but no, i doubt theyre all the same person. just some "what-ifs"

  2. All I know is that Bran is probably going to become Bran the builder somehow. He'll also become the first three eyed raven so that he can pass his knowledge down and complete the cycle. I mean that would be cool anyway. I mean he is going to know what all the other three eyed ravens knew before him. All of those historic events. So its possible. Plus being the three eyed raven is kind of magical so maybe he can place the spells into the wall. That or the children of the forest help him. It did show them basically create the Night King. Which is confusing because of the fact the lore that is written says he was seduced. Yet it looked as if he was forced to become it.

  3. im a late comer to g.o.t but it has an appeal like very few books each episode is like a movie ive yet to read the books but plan on it very soon im a single dad to a almost 2 year old little boy so spare time is a virtue that i cannot afford to waste

  4. i believe brandon stark jon snows brother is all the brans and Brandon's of the past who did what needed to be done such as winterfell and the wall he did this by going back in time through the weirwoods and we know his father heard him so maybe this power grows and he can actually be a flesh and blood apparition or maybe everyone dies and his penence is matrixish and he keeps living it over and over trying to correct mistakes while making more kind of like purgatory in a way we know bran is powerfulyet we dont know the extent of his power hopefully this gets you all thinking that is what i love about george r r Martin his books make you think outside the box under it over it and to the trees that were used in creation of said box

  5. I only know the pictures of Winterfell from the movies right now and dont recall the description in the books.
However Jaime whilst making peace at Raventree it is remarked that the main tower has corners instead of being round due to its age.
If the Winterfell towers are indeed circular in shape it might (stress might here!) indicate Winterfell being not quite that old. The same thing would then be applicable to Storms End, which would place Bran the Builder (at least the one that constructed Winterfell and/or Storms End which may or may not be the one that built the wall) a long time after the war against the others. Either that or Winterfell has indeed been reconstructed or Bran was a genious of such epic proportions that he came up with circular towers millenia ahead of anyone else.
Just a little brainfart on my part^^
