You could also say that you CAN'T understand GOT unless you understand Dunk & Egg.
Just like Rhaegar gave the rose to Lyanna stark, because Ser Barristan lost the joust, Dunk's actions effectively put a shitty king on the throne who wasn't supposed to be king. This led to the targareyon family branching out toward the insane and stupid side of the tree, culminating in King Aerys the mad, who stopped rhaegar from taking over peacefully, which led to the rebellion.
It's a big ass waterfall of chaos, and the start of the rapids leading to that waterfall was Ser Dunk saving that puppeteer.
Are you sure dunk was lying about arlan raising him to knighthood? I though he was telling the truth dude
ser Duk gave himself the name Ser Duncan the tall at a tournament so he wouldn't have to call himself… Duk
I am currently listening to the audio books of Dunk and Egg and it will be pretty good if they make them into the spinoff
I read the book
I lestened to the audio book. Pretty awesome
Just finished this series.
Could have sworn that Ser Arlan of penny tree actually knighted Dunk as he was dying of a chill "Any knight can make a knight'
This book is very important, because we will understand what really happened in Summerhall at the end, major event which caused the magic to return!
It's weird watching this in 2017 just after season 7 has ended
You do know it's a 0% chance there is a trial by 7 in the show right?
Awesome like always.
I have a question I just don't understand. Okay, I keep hearing about how Jon Snow is the rightful heir to the throne. But wouldn't Gentry have more claim to the throne seeing that his father Robert Baratheon beat Reagar Targaryen?
I'm not sure how all of this works, if you could would you please explain?
CLEGANEBOWL
Trial by combat? Ha! – just blow 'em up 😛
Love your videos keep it up!
He said in an interview 5 or 6 of the potential spinoffs wont be about Dunk and Egg unfortunately. In the first book they talk about Aemon being sent to the wall for being unruly. Ha
Dude is it true that next season may come out until 2019?
Good luck to everyone
I have a dragon
Viscerys reads the audiobook, it's been out a few years on audible, pretty good. He may be good enough to take over all GoT audiobooks, if God forbid Roy Dottrice leaves us.
Is egg the mad king?
This is a very similar plot to A Knight's Tale
You said that Dunk in Egg was a prime candidate for the sequel. The last update I had from his blog a while back was he said: 1. It will not be Dunk & Egg because he doesn't want it filmed until he finished all of them. 2. It will not be Robert's rebellion because everything will be answered in WOW and DOS. Has there been a new update…or was that just a slip on your part. I really how that D&E is the choice, but I didn't want to get my hopes up.
Read the book and really enjoyed it and would recommend it.
