Game of ThronesEmilia Clarke sent Laura Adlington supportive message over her Great British Bake Off stint, and our minds are blown.

Laura made it to the final round of the Channel 4 competition, and was narrowly beaten by winner Peter Sawkins.

Despite not being crowned champion, she may have won in another way – after revealing Emilia slid into her DMs to compliment her baking.

Actual Daenerys!?

Appearing on spin-off show Bake Off: Extra Slice, Laura told host Jo Brand: ‘Emilia Clarke, mother of Dragons from Game of Thrones, sent me a message.

‘[She] just said, “Laura, me and my friends love you. Thanks for brightening up our lockdown. We hope you win.”

‘I think she called me a “baking queen”. So my life is now complete, quite frankly. Friends with Matt Lucas and Emilia Clarke. Doesn’t get better than that, does it?’

It absolutely does not.

Elsewhere on Extra Slice, fellow finalist Dave Friday surprised girlfriend Stacey Valentine by getting down on one knee.

The couple have had a wild 2020, as they also welcomed son Ronnie together.

The amateur baker took the opportunity to propose while on the show, telling his partner: ‘So this has been a very memorable year.

‘Obviously the birth of our baby boy Ronnie, being selected to be on the Bake Off… I wanted to start the next chapter of our lives together…

‘So, Stacy Lynn Valentine, I love you from the bottom of my heart. Will you marry me?’

Applause erupted as Stacey said yes, with the lovebirds instantly covered in confetti.

Laura and Dave made it to the final of Bake Off, and helped to break Channel 4 records – as viewers switched on in their droves to see the finale unfold.

In fact, the episode peaked at a staggering 10.4million viewers, and earned a whopping 39.7% share of the audience, giving the broadcaster their biggest audience since records began.

Not too shabby.

Great British Bake Off is available to stream on 4OD.
