Kit Harington and Rose Leslie have welcomed their second baby, it’s been announced.

The actors, who are both 36 and first met when they starred on Game of Thrones together as Jon Snow and Ygritte, already have a son together.

A spokesperson for Kit told PageSix.com: ‘They’re delighted to have welcomed a little girl into the family.’

The couple were married in June 2018, after their engagement was announced in The Times in September the previous year.

They wed at Rayne Parish Church in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, with several fellow cast members from Game of Thrones in attendance at the nuptials.

Rose revealed her first pregnancy in September 2020, when she took part in a radiant photoshoot showing off her baby bump.

Earlier this year, Kit admitted that he was ‘terrified’ over the prospect of becoming a dad-of-two.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the Eternals star spoke about his young son as he said: ‘He is about to get the shock of his life, which is that he’s about to get a brother or sister.’

He then added: ‘You know with the first baby, you’re like, walking on clouds and dancing through fields and daisies for nine months? Well the man is anyway.

‘This time the reality check comes much shorter and you get practical, like, real quick.’

Giving an insight into their family life, Kit shared that he and Rose were trying to explain to their son that he was soon going to have a younger sibling.

‘We are trying to get him ready for it and we point at Rose’s belly and we say “Mummy’s baby, mummy’s baby” and he points at his tummy and goes, “My baby, my baby,”‘ he said.

When their son was only 10 weeks old, Rose began work on the TV adaptation of The Time Traveler’s Wife, with the family living in Tribeca for six months.

She told Harper’s Bazaar that because she had to get up early in the morning for work, there was an ‘understanding’ between her and her husband that when their baby cried in the middle of the night, it was up to him to go and look after him.

‘It was kind of glorious,’ she added.
