Two of the biggest shows of recent times are colliding next year, with Game of Thrones star Tom Wlaschiha set to appear in Stranger Things.

The actor, known for his performance as the mysterious Jaqen H’Ghar on the HBO drama, is one of the new faces lined up for a starring role in the upcoming fourth season.

He’s one of a host of new names on Stranger Things alongside horror icon Robert Englund, who is best known for portraying Freddy Krueger in A Nightmare on Elm Street.

As Variety reports, Sweeney Todd’s Jamie Campbell Bower, Booksmart’s Eduardo Franco and Catherine the Great’s Joseph Quinn have also joined the drama.

They’ll star in the new run alongside the returning Millie Bobby Brown, who is set to reprise her role as Eleven. Finn Wolfhard is also back as Mike and David Harbour will back as Jim Hopper.

Tom Wlaschiha will be familiar to fans of Game of Thrones, having appeared as one of the Faceless Men of Braavos. He trained Arya Stark to be ‘no one’ during one of the most prominent story arcs of season five.

Meanwhile, producer Shawn Levy has revealed that while coronavirus massively pushed back filming, Stranger Things is ‘better than ever’ in season four as a result of the pandemic.

The show was first thought to be returning for season four in early 2021, but fans will now have to wait until late next year for its return.

Stranger Things is available to stream on Netflix.
