Blade Runner TV spin-off Black Lotus has been in the pipeline for a number of years, and now we’ve got exciting news for fans.
The anime series, which is a collaboration between Adult Swim and Crunchyroll and will be set between the events of the original 1982 movie and 2017’s Blade Runner 2049 in the year 2032, has unveiled its impressive voice cast and their characters.
The English-language players will be led by The Handmaid’s Tale‘s Samira Wiley as Alani Davis, a fresh LAPD recruit, and Game of Thrones star Jessica Henwick as Elle, a female replicant created for a secret and unknown purpose.

Hawaii Five-0‘s Will Yun Lee will voice Joseph, a mysterious figure who owns a spare parts junkyard, True Blood‘s Stephen Root will play Earl Grant, the LAPD police chief, and Barkhad Abdi will reprise his role as black market dealer Doc Badger from 2049.
Other cast members include Peyton List (Gotham) as Josephine Grant, Gregg Henry (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2) as Senator Bannister, Henry Czerny (Mission: Impossible) as Doctor M and Jason Spisak (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) as Hooper.
The 13-episode series is set to be directed by Shinji Aramaki and Kenji Kamiyama, with a first look at the show due to be unveiled at Comic-Con later this month.
