Cersei Lannister or Brienne of Tarth?
When asked about a character she relates to most or sees a bit of herself in, Crawford was clear. She said that while she connects somewhat with Brienne of Tarth’s personality and honour, her absolute favorite is Cersei Lannister.
“I would say, well, my favourite character… is Cersei. She’s my favourite,” she said. “But maybe… Brienne of Tarth? Right, yeah. I would say maybe I relate to her a little bit. But Cersei’s my favourite.”
She added:
“I haven’t finished the whole series yet, so I don’t know how evil she gets and people tell me that.”
The actress candidly admitted that she has not finished the entire Game of Thrones series and hence, isn’t aware about Cersei’s whereabouts. However, despite knowing that she is the villian from her acquaintances, she chooses to retain Cersei as her top pick.
Being a part of the Game of Thrones universe
During the interview, she was also asked about her feelings towards being included in the GOT universe. She answered saying, it is indeed like a “dream” for any actor.
“I mean, it’s like a dream as an actor. I love fantasy and this is completely my genre, so being able to slide into this world where just a small chunk of actors have been able to is just incredible. I’m so lucky.”
From her words, it was clear that even though she isn’t aware about the entire Game of Thrones in detail, she acknowledges its scale and possesses gratefulness towards being a part of it.
