Mission: Impossible 7 and 8 are expanding their already star-studded line-ups with the additions of Game of Thrones actress Indira Varma and Deadpool‘s Rob Delaney.
Production on the seventh and eight instalments of the Tom Cruise-led franchise got underway last year, with the intention of shooting both films back-to-back.

During that time, director Christopher McQuarrie has shared more than a handful of exciting casting announcements via Instagram.
Keeping up that tradition with a series of posts today (March 11), McQuarrie revealed that Varma, Delaney, Sherlock star Mark Gatiss, Transformers: Age of Extinction’s Charles Parnell and Stranger Things’ Cary Elwes will all be joining the cast for both sequels.
It’s not been revealed who the actors will be playing, but McQuarrie mentions “The Community” in his posts, and they all appear to be involved in the military in some way.
The plots for both sequels are also being kept under wraps, but we know that Cruise, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Vanessa Kirby and Henry Czerny will all be reprising their roles.
Some of the other exciting newcomers to the series include Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff and Esai Morales. The last of which will star as the villain (in at least one of the films) after Nicholas Hoult dropped out due to scheduling conflicts with The Great.
Mission: Impossible 7 currently has a scheduled release date of November 19, 2021, with the eighth movie pencilled in for 2022.
