Arrow’s David Ramsey, aka John Diggle, is returning to the Arrowverse to direct and star in five episodes of various shows.
Arrowverse fans were shaken to their core when Deadline reported that Arrow’s David Ramsey (John Diggle) would be returning to direct and star in five episodes of various DCTV shows. Normally this wouldn’t be a huge deal as cameos are very common in the Arrowverse, but Ramsey’s return in particular has fans flipping out.
Why? Well, in the Arrow series finale, we saw Diggle uncover a box that emanated a green light. For years now, there have been theories that he may go onto be the next Green Lantern, and the bit with the green box seemed to confirm that that’s where the story is going.
And it could kick off when Ramsay returns to direct and star in these episodes. He’ll be working on episodes of Superman & Lois, Supergirl, The Flash, Batwoman and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. In that last one he’ll be playing “a mystery role.” Does this role involve wearing a lot of green?
“I remain in awe of the imprint these shows have had on television and I’ve been blessed for the better part of a decade to be a part of them both in front of and behind the camera,” Ramsey said. “To say I’m excited beyond belief to return to the Berlantiverse would be an understatement. I can’t wait to continue telling these stories.”
We’ll have to sit tight and wait to find out more. In the meantime, I think we’re all ridiculously excited that David Ramsey is making an epic return to the Arrowverse. Oh, how we’ve missed him.
