As Khal Drogo, Jason Momoa cut a powerful figure, commanding a mighty cavalry and pledging to invade Westeros kill the men in iron suits and tear down their stone houses. But once his cut got infected, there was little he could do to stave off decay and death. So the mighty fall.

Similarly, the real-life Jason Momoa is an imposing-looking guy, but when you’re stuck in an elevator with your buddies for over two hours, there’s little you can do about it, as he proved with a video on his Instagram Live feed, published by Metro UK:

It’s a shame we couldn’t see Momoa’s attempts to bust through the ceiling of the elevator. “I was trying to be like Die Hard, but it didn’t work out.” And of course, as with any group of friends (and a dog), eventually the conversation turned to who is going to get eaten first should the need arise.

We imagine they’re out of there by now. If not, the next Aquaman movie might be very different.

In other celebrity news, Maisie Williams has officially cast her vote for the Emmys!

Let’s be honest: we know she totally voted for BFF Sophie Turner to win Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, right? After all, it’s Turner’s first nomination ever! Sure, Williams is nominated in the same category, but I’m pretty certain they’re voting for each other.

Finally, in the world of Instagram, Carice Van Houten found some epic fan art of Melisandre:

I think this is supposed to be Melisandre’s final moments on the show, as the wind blows away her body following the Battle of Winterfell. Beautiful.

I’d love for all of us to guess what Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy) is doing here, and what the captions means.

Did she write “Game of Thrones” or find it like that? We may never know.
