I, for one, am very excited. I’m a huge fan of Andrew Lloyd Webber, I love Jesus Christ Superstar, and I don’t think this show gets enough recognition. It’s a great mix between hard rock and folk-pop AND I’m beyond ready for a modern vocalist’s take on it— because I’m obsessed with this score and I love listening to covers from it (ps. go watch Jodie Steele’s rendition of “Heaven on their Minds”. No we’re not related, yes I do wish we were related).

Does Josh have the high notes? I've never heard him in the 5th octave. I can imagine him doing like a light falsetto thing but could he pull off the last supper and gethsemane?
This tho!! I love this casting so much. But ever since I saw the Amstetten version of JCS with Drew Sarich as Judas, I honestly can't see anyone else in the role. Unfortunately he is preoccupied as Jesus in Viennas production of JCS this easter. Just check out his track record, hes been Jesus more times than I can count. But I still prefer him as Judas tho. Sorry about the rant! Love your channel so so much!! 💞💞💞

Yaaaassss Sara Baralleis as Mary Magdalene!! Leslie Odom Jr. and Josh Groban are great ideas!! But, I think Brendon Urie could sing the crap out of both of those roles!! Jesus or Judas idk, but Brendon Urie would be fantastic. He just played Charlie in Kinky Boots so he’s got the Broadway credit down, and he has such a unique, rock voice. Just imagine him singing “Gethsemane” 😍
Can you cast Home Alone? And we all know that andrew keenan bolger will be the perfect Kevin, agree?

I think your great and all but this cast wouldn't work. Josh groban cant sing half the notes Jesus has to hit. No star power can fix that. Same with Leslie. I loveeeeeee leslie but this show is to hard for him as well. I love the idea of Sara though!!

Josh Groban is actually one of my favorite humans I love anything he does. I had a dream that we were family friends and I spoke to his face and woke up and was disappointed.
