Charlie Hunnam stars in KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD, directed by Guy Ritchie – in theaters March 24, 2017

Acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie brings his dynamic style to the epic fantasy action adventure ā€œKing Arthur: Legend of the Sword.ā€ Starring Charlie Hunnam in the title role, the film is an iconoclastic take on the classic Excalibur myth, tracing Arthur’s journey from the streets to the throne.

When the child Arthur’s father is murdered, Vortigern (Jude Law), Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown. Robbed of his birthright and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down and he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy…whether he likes it or not.

Starring with Hunnam (FX’s ā€œSons of Anarchyā€) and Oscar nominee Law (ā€œCold Mountain,ā€ ā€œThe Talented Mr. Ripleyā€) are Astrid BergĆØs-Frisbey (ā€œPirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tidesā€) as Mage; Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou (ā€œBlood Diamond,ā€ ā€œIn Americaā€) as Bedivere; Aidan Gillen (HBO’s ā€œGame of Thronesā€) as Goosefat Bill; and Eric Bana (ā€œStar Trekā€) as Arthur’s father, King Uther Pendragon.

Guy Ritchie (ā€œThe Man from U.N.C.L.E.,ā€ the ā€œSherlock Holmesā€ films) directed the film from a screenplay is by Joby Harold (ā€œAwakeā€) and Guy Ritchie & Lionel Wigram, story by David Dobkin (ā€œThe Judgeā€) and Joby Harold. The film is produced by Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman (ā€œA Beautiful Mind,ā€ ā€œI Am Legendā€), Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell (ā€œAwake,ā€ ā€œHoly Rollersā€), and ā€œThe Man from U.N.C.L.E.ā€ and ā€œSherlock Holmesā€ producers Steve Clark-Hall, Guy Ritchie and Lionel Wigram. David Dobkin and Bruce Berman are executive producers.

Ritchie’s behind-the-scenes creative team included two-time Oscar-nominated director of photography John Mathieson (ā€œGladiator,ā€ ā€œThe Phantom of the Operaā€), Oscar-nominated production designer Gemma Jackson (ā€œFinding Neverlandā€), editor James Herbert (ā€œThe Man from U.N.C.L.E.,ā€ ā€œEdge of Tomorrowā€), costume designer Annie Symons (Masterpiece Theater’s ā€œGreat Expectationsā€), makeup and hair designer Christine Blundell (ā€œMr. Turner,ā€ the ā€œSherlock Holmesā€ films), and Oscar-nominated VFX Supervisor Nick Davis (ā€œThe Dark Knightā€). The music is by Daniel Pemberton (ā€œThe Man from U.N.C.L.E.ā€).

Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, a Weed Road/Safehouse Pictures Production, a Ritchie/Wigram Production, a Guy Ritchie film, ā€œKing Arthur: Legend of the Sword.ā€ Slated for release on March 24, 2017, the film will be distributed in North America by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, and in select territories by Village Roadshow Pictures.

  1. This movie sucked so hard I dropped it at the middle.Ā  Who the hell thought a thuggish/Ocean's 11 type Ā King Arthur would be more exciting? And they honestly had a character called Ā Kung-Fu Joe?

  2. The Mage accent is very annoying. I had to pause the movie just to write this comment. That's how annoyed i was. Other than that, it's an ok move. Develops fast, tracks the story well, fine acting, heck David Beckham is in it. Also Littlefinger became a splendid archer, wheew.

  3. If colors doesn't matter … why they ALWAYS changing characters skin color ???? WHY ??? Give me an actual reason ? Next time lets make Moses a Vietnamese who took blacks out of Native American Egypt – Coz Why Not ??
