Con of Thrones is an annual celebration of all things Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire. The third con is going down at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee on July 12-14, and organizers Mischief Management have lined up a premiere guest: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, aka Jaime Lannister. He’ll be there on the 13th and 14th, Saturday and Sunday. Make way for the Kingslayer!

This is a big deal because Coster-Waldau doesn’t make many convention appearances. Con of Thrones will go down after the final season of the show has aired, so perhaps he wants to come to grips with the end with a group of fans who are going through the same thing.

Also, con appearances can be good and lucrative. Fans can buy autographs from Coster-Waldau for $100 and photograph experiences for $125. Organizers have also added a “Kingslayer Pass” to the ticket lineup. For $375, attendees get admission to the con on Sunday the 14th, a guaranteed autograph and photograph with Coster-Waldau, reserved guaranteed seating during Coster-Waldau’s spotlight interview, and an exclusive Kingslayer Pass enamel pin and tee-shirt.

If you’re interested in attending Con of Thrones — and I can vouch for it being a great time — you can see the full range of ticket options here. This is going to be a bittersweet one, I think, but also celebratory. And Coster-Waldau being there will be a trip.
