A rare autographed Game of Thrones script which was first bought in a PUB is set to fetch £7,000 at auction.
A copy of the script for the fourth season finale ‘The Children’ was donated to a charity auction by Jerome Flynn, who plays Bronn in the hit TV series.
It was sold at The Star pub in Great Wyrley, Staffs, in 2015 to raise money for the Global White Lion Protection Trust.
Game of Thrones fan Angela Raybould snapped up the script with a winning bid of £1,170.
The 60-year-old, who runs a security firm with husband Derek, is now set to pocket up to seven times the amount she paid when the script is auctioned next week.
It is going under the hammer at Hansons Auctioneers with an estimate of £5,000 to £7,000.
Angela, who lives near Stafford, said: “My sister, Louise Ford, told me the script was being auctioned off at her local pub and I decided that, whatever it cost, I had to have it.
“There were a few people bidding against me but they gradually dropped out and I was lucky enough to get it.
“I’m a huge Game of Thrones fan. I have all the episodes on DVD and my husband bought me Season 8 for Christmas.
“But because of its value it has to stay locked away in a safe. It’s time for someone else to enjoy it.”
After she bought the script, Angela was invited to London to meet Jerome who signed it, “To Angela, Thanks for your generosity, Big Love, Jerome Flynn”.
Jim Spencer, paper expert at Hansons Auctioneers, said: “For any Game of Thrones fan this is a wonderful thing to own. The provenance is excellent and if you admire Jerome Flynn too, it’s really got it all.
“Of course, you will need deep pockets to afford it, but the series has numerous wealthy and famous fans.
“I’ve read that Jennifer Lopez, Barack Obama and Madonna are among several stars who watch the show.”
The Game of Thrones typed movie script, entitled The Children, was written by David Benioff and D B Weiss in 2013 and is based on A Song of Ice and Fire by George R R Martin.
The script, which has been signed by dozens of the stars in the series, will be sold on January 21.
