Rey took her first steps into a larger world in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and will continue her epic journey with Finn, Poe and Luke Skywalker in the next chapter of the continuing Star Wars saga, Star Wars: Episode VIII, which began principal photography at Pinewood Studios in London on February 15, 2016.

Star Wars: Episode VIII, which is written and directed by Rian Johnson and continues the storylines introduced in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, welcomes back cast members Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis. New cast members will include Academy Award® winner Benicio Del Toro, Academy Award® nominee Laura Dern, and talented newcomer Kelly Marie Tran.

Star Wars: Episode VIII is scheduled for release December 15, 2017.

  1. I didn't like Rose. Her personality was inconsistent (claiming to lack social skills when Finn meets her, yet has no problem talking to others in later scenes), and her romantic interest in Finn was a bit sudden (They've only known each other for a couple of days) and kind of forced.

  2. I really want to see the deleted scene of Rey's training. I loved the movie, but to be honest, the scenes with Luke and Rey were more of Luke just telling Rey about stuff. I liked the scenes they had, but I felt that there should have been more actual training and more Luke trolling Rey. hehe.

Also wish they to have seen the part where Finn wakes up and BB8 plays the hologram of Rey kissing Finn goodbye, but I'm also very glad that it wasn't part of the film. I feel that the Finn and Rey reunion hug at the end had a lot more impact cause they literally haven't heard or seen each other for a considerable amount of time. And to see their looks of relief and bliss of finally seeing each other, safe and sound, was beautiful. No dialogue needed. 🙂 <3
