A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is back with another gritty yet enjoyable episode where Dunk and Egg finally enter the tournament they have been waiting for since the beginning. When Dunk agreed to let Egg squire for him, he did not know who he truly was. The duo has been spending time together, with Dunk occasionally getting annoyed by Egg’s candor.
This episode takes their dynamic further and allows viewers to get immersed in the situation that is increasingly getting interesting. Both actors Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell are proving why they were perfect for their respective roles with incredible acting.

Where most actors would be hesitant to alter their appearance drastically for a role, Dexter Sol Ansell did not think twice. He dove headfirst into the audition and was beyond excited to get the role, even if it meant going completely bald. Ansell understood what was at stake while also being cognizant of how crucial this look was for the character.
Rather than sulking about it, Ansell took this in his stride and continues to joke about the situation. In the official Game of Thrones podcast episode, the hosts asked him about his shaved head and if he faced any jokes at school. Ansell responded,
“All my friends wanted to touch my head. … And what I did was, if you buy me a drink at the youth club, then you get a touch for five seconds. If you buy me a meal, then I give you a pass every day. And I made this whole business.”
This hilarious take on the bald head shows how mature Ansell has been about his role and his career in acting. He committed himself to the role completely and is delivering a performance of a lifetime.
Dexter Sol Ansell thought shaving his head was a “mental” experience
When he first went to the barber to get rid of his hair, Ansell was giddy with excitement. He had never had a shaved head before and was skeptical about the experience at first. He shot the Hunger Games at that time and was heading into another massive role almost immediately. He recalled,
“One minute, I’m about to die in The Hunger Games. The next minute, I am shaving all my hair off! It was mental.”
Ansell thought this entire experience was completely “mental” and had a laugh about the same. A few doubts about this did creep into his mind, but the Egg actor shrugged them off and went through with it in the end.
